In a groundbreaking environmental education project, we have partnered with Air New Zealand’s ‘Kids Restore’ Environmental Trust, the Fiordland Conservation Trust and the New Zealand Government’s Conservation Department to involve our students in a project of regional, national and international significance. This project ensures students reinforce their in-class learning and acquire real-world skills that prepare them for future success. Fiordland College graduates are in demand and go onto great things.

We work closely with our international students and their parents to ensure that the time students spend at Fiordland College provides them with:
•    rigorous, high quality academic experiences
•    the chance to live as a member of a Kiwi family
•    opportunities to experience and explore the unique natural environment
•    and a chance to grow both as an individual and member of the global community.

Sport and culture
At Fiordland College, we recognise that involvement in sporting and cultural activities has many benefits. We encourage our international students to take part in the sporting and cultural activities organised at the College and within the local community. Outdoor activities are an important part of New Zealanders' lives, and the school develops these skills through a dedicated Outdoor Education Programme. There are many additional day or weekend trips organised throughout the year, which cater for a wide choice of outdoor activities including skiing.

You also have the choice to participate in many cultural activities, including speech competitions, debating, and our school musical production. These activities can help broaden your understanding of the New Zealand way of life and aid English language skills and confidence.

If you are looking for the educational experience of a lifetime, one that stands out from all the rest, Fiordland College is the ideal choice.
