Napier Girls' High Shool has a new programme to offer either specialised training or a range of outdoor and recreation experiences to international and selected domestic students. These programmes will operate on Friday afternoons and may extend into the weekend, and are run by experienced, qualified instructors.
Programme A is a Specialise Sports training.
Programme B consists of Water sports and Tramping.
Programme C centers around Recreation and Culture.

The International Travel College of New Zealand has a 2 day ‘Introduction to Flight Attending’ course coming up in August! You will learn about this exciting role along with trying some of the fun practical elements. From In-Flight Service and Safety Demonstrations, learning about Specific Needs Passengers and communication skills, job requirements and the application process. Using our very own Airport Training Centre, you will come out with an amazing understanding of what Flight Attending is all about. You will also gain a certificate and have loads of fun.
The Certificate in Marine Adventure and Eco Tourism, makes students develop work skills and qualifications for careers in outdoor and maritime industries. The 4 certificate will be delivered from the Tutukaka Marina base four days a week. Also gain a number of additional qualifications like Boat Masters Certificate, Marine VHF Radio Operators Certificate, and a first aid (workplace) certificate. In Semester Two, students will also be able to obtain their open water PADI dive qualification.
Rugby is New Zealand’s national sport, and whenever the All Blacks appear on the international stage a nation of supporters watches their every move. In Tauranga, on the Bay of Plenty we have this wonderful English and Rugby itinerary. English in the morning, Rugby and other activities in the afternoon. During the four weeks, there are coaching and fitness sessions, 5 games with a local club, a visit to the Provincial Championship or Super 15 game, etc.
We are offering a wonderful package of English Lessons and Fishing. English classes can be arranged around the different fishing trips. The fishing include a mix of fishing from the wharf to all-day sea fishing trips. Packages can be put together for a minimum of 4 students. Rods, Line and bait also included in the price. Do a school semester during our wintermonths (Nov-Dec or Jan-Feb). Learn surfing or train as a surf lifguard at Mt Maunganui College. Learn paddling in our heated pool and try the real surf at Omanu Beach. Become a volunteer surf lifeguard (only good swimmers) in one of the three lifeguard clubs.
Surfing and kayaking instruction is included as part of the school's Outdoor Education programme.

Study English in the morning, and ride a horse in the afternoon (2 rides per week). During the horse trek students will experience farmland and forests, streams and waterfalls, magnificent views of countryside and ocean and have close-up encounters with farm animals.
